We’re excited to announce Admin By Request for macOS 5.2, bringing some of our most requested features to macOS endpoints. Here’s what to expect.
Secure Remote Access Comes to Mac
The headline feature in this release is Secure Remote Access for macOS. If you’re already using our Secure Remote Access solution on Windows or Linux endpoints, you know how much easier it makes remote management and support. Now you can do the same thing on Mac.
- Unattended Access lets your IT team connect to Mac servers and workstations when no one’s around. Schedule maintenance during off-hours, manage remote offices without on-site staff, or handle urgent issues outside business hours without needing someone at the keyboard.
- Remote Support makes helping macOS users just as straightforward as helping Windows users. Either end users or IT admins can initiate secure, just-in-time screen sharing sessions. Control their device to fix problems, then tear everything down when you’re done. No persistent access points, no security gaps.
Both features work through your browser with just-in-time connections and full session logging. If you’ve already got the workflow figured out for Windows, you’ll feel right at home. Vendor Access won’t be available yet for macOS in this release, but that’s coming later.

Okta Authentication for macOS
macOS users who login using Platform SSO can now be authenticated against Okta directly on the endpoint for sub-setting scoping. This gives you more flexibility in how you manage different groups of macOS users in environments where Okta is your primary identity provider and Platform SSO is configured.
Cyber Essentials Plus: Account Separation
We’ve added Account Separation to help organizations meet Cyber Essentials Plus requirements. This feature ensures that admin accounts are properly separated from standard user accounts, a core requirement of the Cyber Essentials Plus certification.
If you’re working toward Cyber Essentials Plus compliance, this makes it significantly easier to tick that box.
Under the Hood
We’ve added support for macOS 26 Tahoe, along with performance and stability improvements and bug fixes. Nothing flashy, but these updates keep things running smoothly.

We’re Continuing to Close the Feature Gap
If you’re managing macOS endpoints, you already know the options are slim. Most EPM vendors focus on Windows and treat Mac support as an afterthought. Organizations with mixed environments usually end up using different tools for different platforms.
Which means your IT team is juggling multiple systems, users get different experiences depending on their device, and audit logs are scattered everywhere. This fragmentation becomes a security risk. Privilege management policies that work for Windows don’t automatically work for Mac or Linux, and attackers look for those gaps.
Admin By Request covers Windows, macOS, and Linux from a single portal. Your developers on Macs, your finance team on Windows, and your infrastructure running Linux all get managed through the same system with the same workflows.
With version 5.2, you can manage privilege elevation and remote access for all three major operating systems without switching tools or maintaining separate workflows. Existing customers, download the latest version from your admin portal. New users, book a demo here.
