Your One-Stop-Shop for Integrations

Integration Hub

Integrate Admin By Request into your existing infrastructure and software tools as part of your paid license. If your favorite software is not listed in our Integration portfolio, reach out to us and we’ll make it happen.

Supported Integrations

One of the key ways we make Admin By Request more accommodating and easy to adopt into your organization is by continually adding integrations and support for the applications, standards, systems, and software that our customers use on a daily basis. We provide integrations for a range of applications such as ServiceNow and Slack; ticketing systems such as Jira and Zendesk; SIEM tools including Microsoft Sentinel and Splunk; and a heap of others. Check them out below – and get in touch if there’s an integration your enterprise would like us to add.

Notifications

ServiceNow
With this integration, Admin By Request’s Auditlog and Requests features are available to any users or groups who have been granted access in ServiceNow. These users can approve or deny Requests for privileged access, view session data, manage the Auditlog, and contact Support – all from a platform they’re 100% familiar with.
Mobile App
The Admin By Request mobile app is a free supplement to your portal login. You can do the same things – and more – using your portal login, but the mobile app makes data much more accessible to you.
Slack
We’ve set up an integration that lets you access the staple feature of Admin By Request’s Privileged Access Management (PAM) solution from directly within your Slack environment: the Requests feature. When your users request privileged access, their details and reason for needing access are sent to you via Slack to be approved or denied on the fly – removing the need for your IT Admins to log in to the Admin By Request User Portal just to approve Requests.
Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Teams is a popular, everyday tool used by organizations for video conferencing, instant messaging, and file and application sharing. With our latest integration, your users can now use Teams for more than just communication; they can approve or deny Requests for administrative access via a dedicated Teams channel.

SIEM Tools

Microsoft Sentinel
With this integration, we’ve set up a hassle-free way to send Auditlog data from your User Portal to Microsoft Sentinel using Azure Logic Apps. It’s quick, painless, and ensures you get the best of both worlds: comprehensive Auditlog data combined with Sentinel’s intelligent security analysis and threat detection capabilities.
Power BI
Our Microsoft Power BI integration provides a custom-built Power BI template for customers who use data visualization as part of their business and security strategy. With the template, all of your key User Portal data is displayed across seven pages of interactive, in-depth visualizations, data models, and tables, all of which can be drilled down and generated into comprehensive reports.
Splunk
This integration is simple: get Auditlog data sent in real-time from your User Portal to your Splunk environment to be indexed, structured, analyzed, and searched for your way. Never miss a beat with what’s happening in terms of elevated privileges and access in your organization. Extra visibility, security, and insight without having to find your way around new software? Webhooks
There are two ways you can get a copy of your data from us. The most typical way to get data is for you to call our public API in interval to download data (pull from your side), however you can also subscribe to WebHooks (Push from our side). The advantage of WebHooks is that you get your data in real-time instead of pulling data in intervals.
Public API
We offer a free REST API as part of your licensing. You can use the API to get your data into to your SIEM (security information and event management) system, such as Splunk or Power BI. Or you can offload the data into your own backend or integrate seamlessly into your ticketing system. You can read all data you can see in the portal and approve or deny requests through the API.

Portal Access

SCIM (Azure AD)
Our implementation of SCIM provisioning supports the Azure AD and Okta IDP environments, and is designed for Portal Users (i.e., your company admins). The main goal of this integration is to save IT admins from having to onboard and manage user identities and user access manually on multiple different applications. With SCIM, you can do it all from the IDP side, with changes automatically reflected in your Admin By Request User Portal when the provisioning cycle runs.
ADFS
If your company is using Active Directory or an online identify provider (IdP), you can enhance security and make life easier for you and your portal users with our single sign-on (SSO) support. We support all common identity providers either directly or through generic SAML 2.0.

Endpoints

Active Directory
When using Admin By Request, if the computer is in a domain, the Domain Users group will be removed from the local administrator’s group immediately. The software works exactly the same without a domain or for computers joint to Azure AD.
Intune
With this integration you can block elevations on devices that are not Intune Compliant. Get the details which goes into technical details of the Windows endpoint software.
Azure AD
This page explains how to connect Azure AD to your Admin By Request settings to differentiate settings for users based on Azure AD groups. When using Admin By Request with Active Directory domain joined computers, Admin By Request settings can be differentiated for different users. Settings act as rules, such as whether “Run as admin” or “Admin Sessions” are enabled and whether or not users need approval to use them.
MetaDefender
When a user requests to run a file with administrative privileges, the file can be scanned in real-time to block malware using 20+ anti-virus engines. This happens without any performance or waiting penalty and it doesn’t conflict with any security software you may have on your endpoints, because it happens in the cloud.

Ticketing Systems

Generic Ticketing System
This page goes through the process of setting up a ticketing system integration through emails from the Admin By Request service, which can push notifications to your ticketing system (such as Zendesk) through emails. Because all ticketing systems are able to create a ticket based on emails, this solution will work with any ticketing system available.
